So ISF and I bought tickets for the skins game on sunday: 2nd row, lowerbox, 50 yard line. They cost around $300 a piece at stubhub.
When we got the tickets they had a number on the bottom left corner that says "$99+tax." This looks like this is the face value of the ticket...
So questions:
- Is it the face value probably?
- Did we get ripped off?
- Is this a thinly veiled brag?

the 2nd row 50 yardline tickets i had for last weeks game said 72+tax as face value. so that seems right.

Yeah we're in row four of the lowest level on the 50 yard line behind the redskins bench.
Yet for some reason 99+ tax is the face value? can someone explain why face value is so much lower than actual worth?

i could be way off but isnt it that thats what the season ticket holders pay for them and then when they sell them or ticket places sell them they can get a lot more for them since there probably arent that many available and people are willing to pay that much?

Wouldn't that essentially mean you can get season tickets for $800 on the 50 yard line in the lowest section?

Check Redskins dot com or something for ticket prices.
Face value of $99 plus tax seems a little low for those seats. Chiefs tickets for upper level 40 yard line about twenty rows back are $85 apiece, but who knows?

Yes. You should put your name on the season-ticket waiting list today, and once your name comes up in 50 years or so, you'll be getting a great deal! In the meantime, it might be cheaper to fly to a road game someplace like Minnesota and buy tickets at face value than to buy tickets for home games from a scalper.
I have done both of the above more than once.
