Post subject: Oakland Raiders vs New England Patriots - Sept 8

First game of the season is gonna be sweet.
I just placed my first NFL bet online at VIPSports. I took the Over (50) for this one. I'm hoping both teams are gonna score a bunch. I couldn't decide on the spread, I'd like to think the Raiders can keep it close, but it's so hard to bet against the Pats, I decided to just go for points.
My 1st bet: Points Total Over 50.
(Bad bet? I don't know, but I do know it's gonna make this game even more fun to watch...)

Yeah, I'm not sure if that will hit the over. First game, everyone new adjusting to the offense. I think it will be a mid to low scoring affair. Like 21 to 13, New England.

Hmm... interesting. The line opened at like 47 or so but moved up to 50, meaning the money was being placed on the over. Ok let's put it to a poll!

NE defence no where near as good, oakland is all offence. I'd say they will get around 55 points. OVER

With the Raiders acquiring Randy Moss, you can expect there to be some points put up. Look for the bomb to Moss in the 1st quarter for a 40+ yard touchdown.

Giving Bill this much time to prep for Oakland, I can't see them scoring more than 20. And it's Kerry Collins. Plus I don't know if I buy Oakland stopping NE running the ball, which makes for a low scoring affair.
