I own a 350Z and I just recently put new tires on the front and back. My back tires are wider than the front. They look great but unfortunately when I go through a turn, the traction control turns on. I know that I'm not sliding and there is no need for it to come on.

Does anyone know how to fix this without turning off the traction control? I have called around and no one seems to know for sure. Not even the tire place that I purchased them from. I did read somewhere that I might need to have the same width in the front and back.

The tires that I put on are 225/45/18 YR and 265/35/18 YR Toyo T1R. Also, these are on the stock 06 wheels.
Any ideas?

the reason this is happening is because you are putting more power to the ground due to greater grip. You are infact "sliding" but not a lot. Its just enough to make the traction control kick in. The reason you are sliding is because the front of you car is going Xmph and the rear is accelerating, it is easier to try and go "around" the front instead of pushing the front a long with it. When in a turn the rear is already out to the side a bit so its going to tend to keep going that way.

I personally would probably just turn the traction control off, I do on my car most of the time. I dont suggest this if you dont feel confident in your driving ability. Instead Id probably just slow down a bit, or just let the traction control go on. Its really not hurting anything by going on.

oh and pics plz?
