OK.. so January 8th 2008 might be a tad late for covering the logo in snow but nice job!
Love the way a link to bankroll management is on the left hand side wherever you are in the forum.. should cut down on alot of dumb posts/threads.
BTW - The blue surrounds on the "Poker Forum", "Poker Strategy" etc tabs tilt me.

I agree, nice changes, but definitely too much blue. It contrasts way too much with the brown/tan theme of the site.

I actually like the blue. At first I wasn't sure about it either but I think it grows on you.
Maybe if the blue was changed in the actual forum parts like in the threads and Main index it would be a compromise. I appreciate though that chardrian took the time to wish me a happy 2008.
Overall I like the new look.

Change that, the top is fine. I think the snow is a little too bright and that's what turned me off, but that's just being picky.
Still strongly dislike the light blue text.

I believe Xianti adopted the idea of light blue text from Wikipedia... considering how huge and successful they are, not a bad move....

There is a big difference between the design of the two sites.
I usually have a 800 pixel wide window with the left bar hidden anyway so I won't notice that. I think the Feng shui was better without the light blue links, just my opinion.

A lot of vistors didn't even notice the main nav links at the top before. And a lot didn't notice the dark blue links down the left nav, let alone the right nav on some pages. Some regulars didn't even notice the top sub-nav text links in the forum.
I wanted to make sure the text links, anywhere on any page, can never be unseen and unnoticed by anyone on any monitor on any brightness setting. I'll admit the bright blue doesn't aesthetically fit the color scheme, but I believe I've achieved my primary goal, which is to make sure the links stand out and can't be missed on any page.
Let's give it a while and see if we can get used to it. Any drastic change will seem odd at first. Particularly for you guys, the regulars, who have gotten used to the old look, this is weird, I know. But remember, this site must also cater to new visitors who need a little help navigating through the tons of content we now have.

I like it.
I personally feel that the homepage should place the "latest posts" box as the first thing you see - a load of poker room reviews with bonus codes is so outdated these days that anyone who isn't a total noob is pretty much going to ignore them - it looks like FTR is just one of the billions of referral $ sites out there.
The ability to remove the left frame once you're in the forums (by pressing some kind of [-] box or something) would be totally sick, although it'd probably be insane to program.

Xianti please make the FTR Calendar display the current day better, like a bg change or something (on the top ticker on the FTR Forum home page)
