Bought a pos 1996 mustang when I moved down here to TX back in early '05 and have pretty much driven the wheels off it, it needs some work and i'm tired of it and want something new.
I'm not one to spend 30k on a car, let alone 20k... so my options are somewhat limited. Chevy is running $3K in rebates right now, so this'll be less than $17k out the door.
FWIW, I'm single and just turned 29... I REALLY want one of the new mustangs, but it's really not practical so I'm leaning toward the HHR.

Of course I have bad days...
Sometimes I'll go a whole day without quads.

Mazda3
Ford Mustang
Scion Xb
Scion TC
Chevy Cobalt
Honda Civic
Like I said, the Mustang is what I want, but it'd make a much better second car, and it's at the upper end of my price range.

Get the Mazda 6 and I'll give it a yes. The 3 is alright, pretty nice but I'd prefer a little nicer.

Its all about personal opinions. Take these cars out for a test drive and see how they drive, inquire about gas mileage, warrantys and other things that aren't so obvious and then make a choice based on your research.

Take the Xb off the list.
They spend so much time showing how much fun they are to personalize in the commercials cuz they are a pain in the a$$ to actually drive- They catch side-wind like a sail on the hwy.
I'll put a vote in for the 6s or the 3.

civic, mazda3, tc. That order.
Whatever you do, do not buy a cheap american car, just not a good idea. Oh and please for gods sake, do not buy a mustang with a 6 banger in it, everyone laughs at people who drive those cars.

I wouldn't buy domestic. I've had too many issues with them. Go Japanese for the win.
