I really don't understand any apple products. My brother is fanatical about them and that's just fine but the droid phone is just so damn good.
Apple is great if you're a developer trying to make a profitable mobile app since Apple is all about making sure they can charge you where-ever appropriate. Very savvy, very clever, perfectly fine.
Google is all about allowing contributers to contribute for nothing but the want to contribute. More free stuff, more strange apps like one that I can point at the sky and it'll show me the satellites over-head... just a fun ass little device.
For someone like me who just wants a phone to make calls that doubles as the coolest toy in the world, I can't understand ever switching to Apple.

My argument can't get more technical than "everything about it is simply awesome."
I don't mean that in a fanboy way. I just mean there's nothing about it I dislike. It's rare that I buy something that I don't have a few things I don't like about it.
I'm totally open to the fact that the droid's the same way (never tried one), I just find it hard to believe that it's actually better than the iPhone. Especially the iPhone 4 with what sounds like some insanely good features.
Definitely will have to check out a Droid sometime though to see how they compare.

My roommate has the droid, I looked at the new ones coming out and I disagree with the coolest toy comment. I was torn back in October on what to get, a 3GS or droid but decided to wait for the new iphone and I'm glad I did. It just doesn't compare. The droid is still new but I think in 2 years when my contract is up the droid will have made leaps and bounds.

But you haven't tried the Droid X. The iPhone 4 isn't to be compared to the Droid from a year ago but the Droid from right now.

barring 1 or 2 features, the new iphone just just brings the specs up to the level of the droid which has been out for over 9 months now.

I wasn't THAT impressed with the droid back when I was working in cell phones at the start of this year. I guess the newer ones would be better but I can't see them even coming close to the iphone right now.

I liked the iPhone 4, but then I was a bit skeptic.
How the fuck could something made mostly of glass be durable enough to be pocketable?

Make sure you hold it correctly or you might loose reception :S
Never buy the BB storm, I just quit my job at Vodafone Australia and the storm one was one of the most problematic phones we sold. The storm 2 apparently has the same issues just not as frequently.
I4 looks awesome but I'm not sure if im going to get one, at least till there is a fix with the antenna hardware fault or I see an epic case
