I find that when i sit down at a tourney or ring game with people i don't know my whole game goes out the window.. i tense up, make stupid plays, heart races the whole time, and i'm always shaky. I know i have anxiety issues but Christ..i need a trick to help me relax and play my game.

Drugs. Lots and lots of hardcore, illegal drugs.

Or just finda more comfortable setting. If you get extra nervious by going out and playing at a new place with new people, then try to play with people that you know in a familiar setting. Then change it a little bit at a time.

Your choice. But if you chose drugs, elanto is from Columbia. So he can probably help out. :P
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Don't fire the gun! I have a friend who tested this theory. He always got outdrawn after rubbing one out before a big tourny. Infact when he did it twice, he was the second one out of a 30 man tourny. The rest of us, chambers loaded, just laughed.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

DavSimon is an unknown quantity at this point
I felt very comfortable my first time in a live casino poker game, however I got very shaky when I made a big hand...and even more so when someone bet into me. Hard to control adrenaline - I suppose the only way to control it is experience. The more you do it the less it will effect you. Trying to read peoples hands even if you are not involved in the pot (keeping your mind busy) may help.
I would not recomment the drugs....the dealer may get angry when he asks you to post your blind for the 5th time and you just stare at him all glassy eyed.

Nah, the dealer would love you. You would jut keep giving him your blind and he would keep asking for more. Until you are short-stacked by paying 30 blinds on the 1st orbit... Um. Maybe it's not a great idea to mix drugs and poker.
