I was a big white wall with nothing on it in my room.

I'm going to use the rasterbator program. http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

To make my own wall paper from some picture on my computer. I got this idea off 2+2 today.

Right now, I'm leaning towards one of the following two pics:





Its just a coincedence that they're similarly themed but I'm open to any suggestions. Anyone have any other pics you'd think would look cool on my big white wall?

Why don't you get some posters that show your hobbies / interests? For example, two of my hobbies are that I'm really into in rock climbing and mountain climbing, and I'm the biggest Indianapolis Colts fan that I know of. So my wall has a few Colts Super Bowl championship posters, and a bunch of nice photographs of places I've climbed or would like to climb. You're a huge Steelers fan right? I can't believe you don't have at least one Steelers Super Bowl poster or something like that.

Out of the two pictures you posted, my opinion doesn't matter but I like the top one a whole lot and think the bottom one is stupid.

Edit: I'm an idiot, I thought you said you wanted a poster and not a wallpaper. Ignore everything I said.

 Is the huge black space going to rastorbate well? I've never seen this before (it's very cool), but they recommend high contrast images

something simple like cropping may help...

I did a 6x6 rasterbated version of this image:
I bought 9 A3 black mount boards and on each of these i put 4 of the A4 pages and put up the A3s spaced apart to give thick black borders around the A3s with the thinner white borders between the A4s.

You can see part of it in the image i posted here but the photo quality is horrible and doesn't do it justice. I will see if I can get a decent pic for you later.

If you are going to rasterize the image (closeup: http://www.gribnick.spb.ru/images/bl...r-closeup2.jpg you can specify the pixel width in the rasterbator application)
you shouldn't use an image with fine detail as this will get lost. If you want to use an image like the one you posted you are better off just using tiled printing (just set the pixel width as small as possible) but I think this will just end up looking like a cheap version of a big poster whereas rasterizing the image (preferably black & white) gives it a really nice effect.

Get it printed professionally on good quality photo paper if you can otherwise it will have that dull look.
