VIRGINIA TECH -10
- Can't see this game being close. Just too much talent on the V-Tech team.
ALABAMA -3 (bought the hook)
- I think the Bama team you saw last week that struggled against 'Ol Miss was a team looking past that game. Bama is just too talented not to get past Tennessee at home.
TEXAS -15.5
- Texas Tech can put up points but they haven't played anyone of any substance save Nebraska whom they barely squeaked by. The Longhorns are an elite team and I see them rolling in this game. I'd take Texas up to -17 here.
WEST VIRGINIA -1.5
- S. Florida is a tricky team. They knocked off Louisville and gave Pitt and Penn State a respectable game and held Miami, Fl. to 27 points. Even so, I still don't see them beating a very tough West Virginia team.
AUBURN +7 (bought the hook)
- This line I don't really get. LSU is definitely a team that can be had and I think that the 6.5 the oddsmakers were having LSU lay to a very good Auburn team is a bit much. They were beaten by a Tennessee team that doesn't have nearly the talent that they normally do and they nearly lost to a very average Florida team last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see Auburn win this game outright (although I bought the hook to help me sleep better )

No thoughts from anyone?
No one else playing any college games this week?

I'm taking the Texas over Texas Tech game. I'll actually be there (HOOK 'EM HORNS!), so it should be fun. I, too, think that Texas Tech doesn't have what it takes to "run with the big boys", plus Texas has been running over EVERYONE this year.
But other than that game, I'm really don't pay much attention other other college football teams other than Texas, so sorry; no more games.

Agreed, V Tech is awesome this year.

I don't disagree but... Not sure about this one, the Vols are unpredictable this year, anything could happen...

Again, I don't disagree but... Not sure on this one either. If Tech treats it like a rivalry then they might be able to hang for awhile.

Agreed, W Virginia should take it.

Agreed, like Oklahoma LSU started out this year overrated and we're still seeing it.

Well, as expected, V-tech rolled. Took them a while to get going but this game was really never in doubt.
Also, looks like the WV/S. Florida game got cancelled due to the hurricane.

nice hit on Vtech last night. i was on them too. i cant believe that MD only scored 3 points off of 4 VT turnovers! VT should have won that game by about 14 m0re.. but its still a cover.
How good did Vick look though! That kid is going to be sweet. seems like he can run probably better than any NFL QB besides his brother and his arm looks even better!

More on the Crimson Tide rivalry with the Vols from http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/column...an&id=2199554:
Quote:
On paper, the Vols appear to be a big underdog. However, in this rivalry, there's rarely such a thing.
"Tough, long, no one gives up," Wade said. "In a lot of games, late third quarter, fourth quarter, people are tired. People start playing soft and stuff. Doesn't happen here. Blood keeps going. It seems like people start playing harder and harder as the game closes."
Two years ago, when Tennessee would finish the regular season 10-2, and Alabama would finish 4-9, the Vols needed five overtimes to beat the Crimson Tide, 51-43.
In 1990, Alabama, with a 2-3 record, beat No. 3 Tennessee, 9-6.
In 1982, the last season of legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, unranked Tennessee, with a 2-2-1 record, beat No.2 Alabama 35-28.

Had a nice weekend in college games. Went 3-0-1. the WV/S. Florida game got postponed so I got my bet back.
Good thing I bought the hook in the Bama game or I'd have lost that one.
