Post subject: Moving to the US..

Hey,
Well, in a couple of months I'll be moving to the US (bye bye sweeeet Euro sites) and I have no idea whatsoever what's legal/illegal and what is not, how to handle payments etc if I'd want to continue playing over there.
So thought I put the question up here and see if you guys could give me some good advices.

imo, you should wd everything from your euro accounts and put whatever amount you want onto the american site(s) of your choice. it will just be way easier to do it from europe than it will from the states.
where in the us are you moving?

Hehe, you might not believe it but our gas prices are double the price you pay :P Sweden might be a good and friendly country but general prices on pretty much everything, taxes and medical care suuuuuuccks.

lol in Holland cigs are like 6,50 euro, so almost 10$?
gas (well, unleaded 95 I mean) is per liter yeah and over here it's 1,50 euro a liter. It is said it might go to 2 euro per liter within a couple of years. 
a gallon is something like 3,5 liter right?

gas prices passed $3/liter in norway the other day. Cigarette prices are insane. I don't drive or smoke so it's not a big deal, but don't get me started on liquor prices..

3.8 liters to a gallon. Americans pay some of the cheapest gas prices in the WORLD. But don't expect them to know that.
$1.30 here in Toronto x 3.9 = $5.07 a gallon

True.
Still though, in the last few years gas has about tripled or so in price over here and it's almost certainly going to keep going higher. It's all relative. It doesn't affect me but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that make enough money and I don't drive particularly much. I'm almost always within 5-10 miles or so from where I live. Somebody who was already struggling to begin with and drives a lot probably doesn't take much comfort in the fact that gas has always been much more expensive in most of the world.

Seems like the gas prices are the same in Sweden as some other European countries (Norway etc)..
Regarding the medical care, I believe it was ranked among the lowest in Europe a few years ago. If you have to visit a dentist, for example, it's sometimes cheaper to fly to Estonia or Latvia and get it done there and usually with better results.
Although, I haven't had problems with it myself, medical care that is, but this is what I've heard/been told and what the general opinion seems to be.
Maybe I shouldn't be too hard on it. Guess I had to find reasons to leave when there are quite a few good things about our country - beautiful women for example

Of course I'm not saying they're all bad :P There are hot women everywhere, but if you say 7 out 10 are hot in Sweden, it's maybe 4/10 in England. Or something like that, just my estimation.

I live in Manhattan. Gas prices dont matter since no one who actually lives here drives. There are hot women, but not overwhelmingly. When I visited LA the women were much hotter.

afaik gas in europe or most european regions replace a lot of taxes like income tax. so they're not necessarily paying more for gas than US. in fact they may overall be paying less if other taxes are low enough.

ive lived in WA my entire life. we do have some damn fine women, but really theres only a lot of them in key areas, like large cities and near universities. i live in Puyallup and we have nothing here that demands hotness so we dont have a bunch of it.
dont get me wrong, we do have hot women, but let me put it in perspective. i walk into some random bar and its mainly men, there are a number of women yet the large majority of them are fat and/or homely, and the couple of 'above average' women are surrounded by men. however, we do have women as hot as they come, they're just hard to find, and when i do find them they have men crawling all over them.
WA is imo one of the worst places in the US (and thus the world) to find women. we seem to have more men than we do women, and most the women need to lose weight. also the weather is so bad and there's little to do that i have a theory that involves WA women being unable to be alone. i have known exactly zero women up here who are attractive who weren't in a relationship or between relationships (very rare since most relationships seem to end with the beginning of a different relationship) for more than a month. so even if we do have a lot of hot women up here, finding one thats 'available' pretty much takes an act of god.

I have friends who's lived in Thailand for 3 months or so and they say it's the best place on earth. I've never been there though but I've never met anyone who's been there and regrets it.
If you move there, I'll come visit you for sure!
