when i was making 4 figures a month I would proudly tell people I play poker for a living. 5 figure months and I keep my mouth shut and tell them nothing

Depends on the people, some I say I play poker, others I say I invest.
Most people's reaction is sort of "oh cool". I only have two friends that look down on it. Which is weird because they're both very smart, but will not be convinced that I'm doing anything other than gambling and running hot.

My closest (who are kinda the smartest) friends understand my situation. I feel comfortable with telling them the general area of the money I make but strangers I just say I invest. Then people never ask your earnings.
