anyone know anything about laptop lcd's. ive had this laptop a little over a year, inspiron 6000, so maybe two weeks ago I see a vertical line, its there for a couple minutes and goes away. Then yesterday, I have it closed and the screen is off, I open it up and the screen blinks on then goes black. You can see the screen is still on but its extremely dim, just see some stuff in the background. When i closed it an opened it really fast, it would flicker on normal, then go black again. I hooked up an external monitor and it works fine. It jogged the screen back on, and it worked from last night until tonight, where it went black again, i'm not even sure I see anything in the background anymore.
I think its the lcd inverter, anyone have this problem, any other ideas on if its probably the inverter, or how hard the thing is to replace?
