xianti, i think you should make a minimum requirement of posts to be able to post in the commune. theres been a big increase in all these spammers posting here. idk what a good number would be because there are obv people that join ftr that actually post here that arent spamming, but 90% of the spammers join and then post spam in the bc or commune immediately, like this guy talking about a 2k freeroll on crazy poker or something.

hmm yeah thats a good point. god damn spammers, they cant be beat, because if theres even one person that starts playing on whatever b.s. they are advertising it makes it worth it for them. i think what the world needs is no stupid people who actually fall for it, then the spammers would go away!

it's not nearly as bad as it was when we were vulnerable to spambots. there's usually a mod logged-in and the obvious spammers get dealt with post-haste.
the 2k freeroll guy gets the benefit of the doubt for the moment since 'rilla posted in his thread and didn't touch it. we use our discretion and sometimes leave threads alone if they're relatively harmless or have funny potential.

I think all past and future commune posts should contribute to your post count. Just about all forums have some sort of community/lounge forum, and this is the only one that I know of where those posts don't count.
