It's been a nice week for me. Grand Casino Helsinki (the only casino in Helsinki, Finland) had Midnight Sun Tournament-week. Smaller events started on tuesday, but I was there for the new no limit ring games (first time open legally in Finland!). Tuesday it was 5e/5e with 100e min/400e max buy-in, wednesday it was 10e/10e with 250e-1000e buy-in.

I made good profit, and ended up buying in for the main event, texas no-limit freezout for 1500e+50e. Tournament started on thursday 4pm, with 15 000 in chips, 1 lvl no ante, 25sb 50bb, 60min levels. After two hours I had accumulated 27 000 in chips, even though I thought it would be very difficult table with two finnish pro's: Jani Sointula (winner of Monte Carlo Millions) and Ilari Sahamies. After that I hit few bad beats, flopping nut straight, getting beat by midpair getting runner runner fullhouse etc crap. And it went downhill after that, ended up busting after 5 hours or so.

On and all it was very good experience, I felt very confident playing, and got very good reads at the players of my table. Last hand I limped (should have bet) in with was AQo late position, button limped in with 8Q, and after 823 flop (two diamonds) got checked all around, button bet 1k, everyone folded, I pushed all-in for 6k more. Desperate, I know.. he took awhile to asses the situation, and made the call (he had a monster stack), turn and river didn't improve, so I was out of the tournament. We had antes at 25, 150-300 blinds.

Tournament continues today, and I'm heading in for the cash games, so wish me luck.

It was 100-400€ buy-in, and 5€/5€ blinds again. I was up over a thousand euros; I called a bluff with top pair on the flop, guy hit a runner runner backdoor flush, ugh nasty. It's insane how easy the tables seem... new try tonight. Wish me luck 8)
