Has anyone else noticed the little growth spurt we've had here on the forums lately?

I've noticed. It's pretty cool. I know that the admins have been working to get on the top of Google's list. That might be the reason, but I also noticed that it happened right about the time of our FTR Open house.

I think I remember finding it through www.pokerlistings.com. In which we are currently 8th under the poker strategy category.

Though it's cool that all your hard work is being rewarded with extra members i'm wondering what the advantage is of having say 2000 members, obviously there will be good posts but won't there be lots more rubbish ones as well, i've seen people mentioning signal:noise ratios recently so presumably some people are starting to feel this way already.
Also if i don't check this forum at least once a day there are so many posts that i don't really have time to read them all so it becomes more of an effort. Still if you didn't advertise it'd just be xianti,eric and ttanaka and the world would be a less informative place (no offence) so i guess if that's the price of fame you've got to just accept it and try to keep the community spirit alive.

I found this site though Eric’s 21ace site, I first started visiting the site and reading the stuff on the actual site and not the forums. After awhile I figured I could contribute my opinion here and there and learn stuff via the forum so I signed up. So far it's been a good, hopefully it stays that way.

Poker is blowing up, at least where I'm at. That is probably the reason for your growth. In the past month or two, all of my friends have started playing online. Most with play money, but a couple with real $$. I hear people at work talking all the time about getting sucked out on the river in a PartyPoker free tourney.
Attribute growth to the simultaneous popularity of poker and the internet.
There is also a new series coming on ESPN, has anyone heard of it? I think it's called Tilt or something like that. I don't know exactly what the format will be though.
