Well, being the sports fanatic that I am, I figured I'd create a thread for the upcoming college b-ball post season. Who is your Final 4?

I have not made my picks yet, I'll probably do it tonight. I might set up a FTR style tournament challange on ESPN.COM. I'll post the details in here later.

I'm still kinda upset that St. Joe's didn't make it in, but there's always next year I guess. NIT bound!!
aka wildwest15
They all know me as a small timer, but that's about to change.

Gotta go with the Blue Devils. How epic would a Duke/UNC match up in the Final 4 be?.

Im going the the 1st and 2nd round games here. They aren't great match ups, but they should be fun.

Im in for a bracket

I feel bad for my UCONN Huskies. They drew the toughest region this year.

i haven't looked at the bracket yet, but i know UNC is a #1 seed and they have the most talent of any team so they are my pick to win. Illinois plays good team ball and should make it deep into the tourney. the teams i'd like to see win would be either UW or gonzaga though, being from washington, I watch them quite often. im still now sure how UW got a #1 seed though, im still surprised by it

Im from chicago, and my parents are U of I grads so this is blasphemy:

I think Illini arent so great. The just havent produced enough offense lately and had a very poor shwoing against Wisconsin, i got the goin deep but not too deep... If they can rebound from weak wins and loss to Ohio State and get back to how they wre performing mid season, than yeah i got them final 4... but i doubt it.

I think Illini are so great. They have produced great offense all year and have the best record in the country. I got them goin all the way

Illini will pwn you all. They've beaten Gonzaga, the mighty wake forest, and NC and Duke have all lost more than their fair share of games. If the Illini are hot, they are unbeatable. Even if they arent hot, they still are a really good team.

I'd watch out for Kansas too.

Since I'm currently at Illinois, I think I have to say they are gonna win it all. That being said, I picked Illinois to go out early in my bracket because I'm sure almost everybody else in my pool probaby picked them to win it all. OK State is gonna beat Uconn in a hell of a championship game

I could only hope UCONN makes it that far. Kansas, North Carolina, to name a few. Although North Carolina didn't look that great against us. I guess it depends on which UCONN team shows up. If it's out defensively oriented fast break game. Watch out! We're goin' balls deep in this beotch. But if the mammy pammy we can't figure out how to beat the zone guys show up. Well be lucky to make it to the sweet sixteen.

Biggest seeding mistake of the tournament - Louisville

26-4, win 18 of last 19, Sagarin=8, RPI=12, ranked #4 in both polls, win both the conference and conference tournament, and we get a f'n 4 seed? Everybody else in the Top 9 lost at least one game in the last week(except Louisville). I figured they would be a lock for a 2, maybe a 3 if they wanted to screw us. What a joke

This is the 3rd year in a row Louisville's been underseeded based on the RPI/Sagarin/Polls.

(I'm a big UofL fan, if you haven't figured that out). Even as a 4 they have a good shot to go deep this year.

I am a UNC Alum, go to NCSU now and will be applying to Duke Law next year so I am a little confused.

If everyone on UNC's team decides to play for the whole tourney, we can make the final 4. But if it comes down to UNC needing one player to rise up and win every game, I am worried they won't make it past the Sweet 16.

NCSU needs a miraclous run.

Duke can make it to the final four as well which would make for a very interesting game.

Here's my bracket. I think the 12/5 matchups are heavily in 12's favor this year.

Points will be awarded for each game won
1st round = 1 point
2nd round = 2 points
3rd round = 3 points
4th round = 4 points
Final Four = 5 Points
Winner = 10 points

Person with the most points wins. Tie breaker will be 1.) Total games won 2.) Total points in final 6 games. I'll be trying to keep my bracket updated with green signfying who won and red meaning who lost. Just so I can count my points easier.

Kansas lost to Bucknell, a perennial powerhouse I know, I will be in mourning for about 4 weeks.

Fricking jayhawks. You know, they are alot like the minnesota vikings. Just can't win a big game, or any game in the playoffs lately. Maybe its me. I should start rootin for upstart teams like Bucknell I guess. I don't know what to think, other than I can't play poker when I'm in this mood. go North Carolina and Roy Williams.!!!!

Reading this post is interesting when you start at the neginning and look at the predictions. So many of the 'good' teams are gone...

wake, KU, 'cuse, etc.
I think a lot of people saw Kansas going out early. They did not play well at all the last few weeks of the season.

As a long time Duke fan, I have to go with UNC.
LMAO

Seriously, I think Washington has got a good shot, especially if Milwaukee can continue the cinderella story for one more game and knock off the Illini in the sweet 16.

Washington or UNC will be cutting the net at the end of the Madness.

Illinois vs. Arizona is gonna be one great game should the bracket work out that way.

I don't think Duke will make it to the final four... someone will upset them in the next two games. They are just too shallow.

NCSU is having a nice run. I think they can beat Wisconsin but UNC will most likely destroy them.

Go Heels!

Are you inclining that Louisville is gonna win It should be a good game #1 vs #4 .... the winner is gonna get an easier play in the next bracket though. You obviously havent seen how crazy nate robinson is, his skills are supreme...

I knew UConn would find a way to lose to NC State. I just knew it. And that was a lame ass foul call by the ref at the end. He essentially decided the game for the Wolfpack.

look for washington to be a title contender in a year or two, not this year. too inexperienced, they will fall.

kansas was somewhat of a surprise, syracuse and wake losing were giant fing surprises. i thought syracuse would do big things, oh well.

If you got illinois beating arizona/okie state you're nuts. arizona and okie state have more talent in their left nuts than illinois does on the whole team. playing well as a team gets you so far, but they just aren't talented enough to play with the big kids.

Final Four: UNC, Arizona/okiestate (i'm leaning towards okie state here), Duke, Louisville (and, I really really dislike midmajors, and I still think Louisville gets here...). I think if there are any surprises, you'll see oklahoma, washington, or nc state here. otherwise i'm pretty confident in that.
