What should I put on it? Pretty much i want to put a lot of shit that gets you amped and you can blast in your car. Here's my list so far. Sorry if my list is pretty mainstream, I'm not interested in hearing about how my list sucks.
Metallica - Enter the Sandman
ACDC - Thunderstruck
Linkin Park - Lying from you
Tool - Forty six and two
Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet with butterfly wings
Bush - Machinehead
Puddle of Mudd - Blurry
Nirvana - Lithium (????)
And that's all I have right now.

Good linkin park and metallica song.
Try control by puddle of mudd.
I dunno, i listen to mostly metal+ which really does pump you, if that's what you want?
If not, BYOB by system of a down, know your enemy and bulls on parade by rage against the machine. oh and 5 minutes alone by pantera.

Hard rock...let me see what my download folder has.
I'll just do one song per band.
10 Years - Cast It Out
Adema - The Way You Like It
A Perfect Circle - The Hollow
Alice In Chains - Would?
Breaking Benjamin - You Fight Me
Chevelle - Get Some
Disturbed - Remember
Filter - Where Do We Go From Here?
Finger Eleven - Above
Flaw - Out of Whack
Godsmack - I Stand Alone
Korn - Blind
Lacuna Coil - Heaven's A Lie
Linkin Park - From the Inside
Muse - Hysteria
Nickelback - Next Contestant
P.O.D. - South Town
Rage Against the Machine - Killing In the Name Of
Sevendust - Broken Down
Shinedown - Better Version
Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself
Tool - Third Eye
Trapt - Disconnected (Out of Touch)
If those don't get your blood pumping for 2 hours or however long it is, you don't have a pulse! I think I'll put these in my player for next time I play...

the bled - you know who's seatbelt
atreyu - right side of the bed
saosin - lost symphonies
nightwish - devil and the deep dark ocean
boy sets fire - after the eulogy
avenged sevenfold - trashed and scattered
pantera - cowboys from hell
slipknot - before i forget
thrice - paper tigers (awesome)
bullet for my valentine - suffocating under the words of sorrow

Thanks for the help guys! I'll be sure to check those out. Keep em coming.
Note: My taste tends to be towards mainstream hard rock, I like shit that builds towards really intense parts. I DON'T like really metal shit like mudvayne though.
AND i'm not really interested in turning this thread into a debate about what is "real" hard rock and what's not k thx.

Offspring - Self esteem
Sepultura - Territory, Rattamahatta
Amorphis - Drowned maid
Guano apes - open your eyes
Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
Pantera - Hole in the sky (sabbath cover) and pretty much anything from their first three albums
Machine Head - Davidian
Beastie boys - Sabotage (in advance: fuck you genre labeling nits, there's a distorted guitar in there, that's enough for me)
Some Black Sabbath
Some Metallica
Some Korn
Some Disturbed
And obviously I gotta promote some norwegian stuff:
Stonegard - Arrows album (you can stream some of the songs on stonegard.org)
Seigmen - Total album
Thulsa Doom - Why do you keep on watching the porno after you came?
Turbonegro

HalvSame just reminded me...
Beastie Boys -- Sabotage (yeah it's not really 'rock' but kickass still)
House of Pain -- Jump Around (same)
I played college baseball and those were my two songs, so when I came to the plate they played one of those two songs...
Beastie Boys -- Watcha Want has a good beat to it too...

I've listened to a lot of suggestions so far and as i thought most of the stuff i liked were: NIN, Rage against the machine, sevendust, and audioslave, which im pretty sure are the more mainstream of the suggestions.
The rest (including In Flames, sorry Courtie I guess I'm not cool ) didn't appeal to me really, however I haven't listened to the songs sugggested in a lot of the latest posts. I just don't like "real" hard rock or metal, idk why.
Oh UG liked that song by filter.
I haven't listened to paper tigers yet blackatom ill make sure to give it a listen.

Offspring - Bad Habit
This is a seriously dangerous song to listen to whilst driving if you get seriously "pumped" by music.
When you say "mix", do you mean just a playlist or are you actually planning on mixin / remixing?
Edit: oh yeah, and you seriously need RATM "killing in the name of" on there

As so many people have already mentioned, I like Rage Against the Machine the best for "pump me up" music. I listened to all Rage this morning while hitting the heavy bag.
Cypress Hill (So You Wanna Be a Rock Superstar and other tracks) is also good that hasn't yet been mentioned.
