OK, so I am a food junkie. My other passion is cooking and I love to eat and try new things.

I hit the jackpot today. I know a lot of places have an ethnic festival or culture festival. This weekend is Kansas City's Ethnic Enrichment Festival. I went and had a great time, every booth was for a different country and every booth sold ethnic food. There was a lot of stuff, and thanks to the flyer they handed out, I can remember all I had. Here is the list.

Brazil
Feiddada - pork and black bean stew, served with a side of rice, bread crumbs and an orange slice.
Brazilian cheese bread
Columbia
Empanada (meat pie)
Fried plantain
Croatia
Povitico - rolled bread with a nut butter.
cheese streudel
India
Samosa - fried potato and spice ball
Laos
Chicken kabob
Fried rice
Mexico
Tamales
Norway
Lefse - thin flat bread, similar to tortilla with ham and jarlsburg cheese
Pakistan
Rice Biryani - rice with a lot of Curry and other spices
Chicken Tikka
Turkey
Doner (like a gyro stuffed in a pita pocket)
Baklava
Ukraine
Varenyky - fried potato and cheese dumpling

So what did you have for lunch?

side note: I did have some help. Most of the portions were very small, and we ordered this stuff between 4 of us and took bites of everything.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Well....let's see. I had a chicken breast strip lunch from the Chicken Basket. 6 strips of chicken, 1 hot roll, cole slaw, BBQ sauce, and fries sprinkled with seasoned salt. Yumm yummy. :P

I had 2 pieces of salami, and bowl of sour cream an onion chips.

Just a few things I snacked on while I made the kids lunch. Sorta forgot to make my own.
