Hope nothing bad happened to him, he was a good guy.
Damn these kinda things really worry me. Because one guy who had 11,000 posts on another (non-poker) forum i post in disappeared and we all wondered what happened to him.
3 months later we found out that he had died age 22. Scary.

Thanks for going through all the trouble guys.
I dropped poker and FTR cold turkey for awhile. One day I woke up and stopped playing poker and frequenting FTR. I had been going to poker school 3 hours a day and playing poker online the rest of the time. While I was doing that, I would talk about poker in IRC. Then the poker room at work opened and I was dealing poker 12-13 hours a day.
I went without playing poker at all for over a month. I cashed everything out, but still had around 150 in my neteller account that I just let sit there.
I logged into my Pacific account about 2 weeks ago and found that Pacific put 10 dollars in my account. So I decided to play some $10NL. I built that up to 120, then deposited 150 from neteller also and have been playing $100 NL successfully since then.
I apologize for dissapearing like that, I should have dropped by and let you know what was up. I'll be around now, though not nearly as much as I used to.
I am still dealing in the poker room, at the Argosy casino in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. If any of you happen to be passing through, I work night shift (after 7PM) every day except Wednesday and Thursday. We only have 7 tables, usually spreading 3-6, 4-8 and 10-20 limit holdem, and 1 NL game. The NL game has 2 five dollar blinds and there is no maximum buyin limit. Interesting game from time to time.
Thanks for the concern, didn't mean to make you worry like that.
EDIT: Can someone please delete my personal info from this post? I'm not too crazy about having my phone number and stuff posted here. That t is our phone number, my wife is a travel agent on the side for her mom's travel agency. When we're not home, that's what picks up.

Dealing poker is a very good job. I used to deal craps, blackjack, etc. and had to pool the tips with all of the other dealers. Now I keep my own every night. It's working out very good.
I am learning a lot by dealing. I already knew the technical aspects of the game, but I knew relatively little about good live play. B&M players are mostly terrible. I have seen a few really good ones, but they have stuck out like sore thumbs, at least to me.
From dealing games and watching players, I have picked up on a few mistakes I was making.
- Position - in B&M, the players are much more likely to check around to the raiser. Just about every time. A raiser on the button can almost always get a free card peeled off if he/she so desires. I've learned a lot about positional play from watching games.
- Waiting until the turn to bet a strong hand is a bad idea. If the flop gets checked around, nobody wants to call a big bet into a dry pot if they don't have a substantial part of the flop. I see people with flopped trips and sets wait until the turn to play tricky poker with the big bets. There's not enough in the pot to call at that point. Bet the strong hands early and they won't believe your turn bet either.
- The 'bad beat' ranting people do in the chat box is nothing compared to that which goes on at a live table. Players that have read all of the books, then make all of the right plays with "good cards", then get snapped off by 74 offsuit love to extoll the virtues of their good play and attempt to embarass the winner of the pot. It is disgusting and serves no purpose. If it gets really bad, I'll tell them "So you want them to play good, is that it?" followed by "If everyone played good, all of the money would end up here" while pointing at the rake. If they are good tippers I just shut up and deal. 
I have seen a few excellent players. While everyone else is looking at the flop to see what is there, the good player is looking around at their faces to see their expression. They then formulate opinions of what their opps are holding based just on their reaction to the flop. Then and only then will they look at the flop for themselves. The same goes for the initial deal of the hole cards. While everyone else can't wait to get their grubby paws on their cards and look at them, the good player is watching them look instead of looking at his own cards. I've only seen about 5 people that do this on a consistent basis, it is a joy to watch these guys in action. This is a facet of the game that online-only players have no clue about.
I'll be giving more observations from the dealer's seat as time goes on...

Would love to hear them. Good live play is something of an aspiration (above and beyond just reaching the point of being a pro).
You're making me wish I didn't have so many commitments so that I could work as a dealer. How much do you typically make, if you don't mind me asking?

i actually learned that waiting to look at your cards from the WSOP....i was like wtf are they doing not look at their cards?
then johnny chan says to moneymaker "yo dude it's on you" and moneymaker's like ah crap, i'm sorry i didn't have a hand.

Also, if you are in early position, and you have a patient dealer...watch everyone look at their cards and notice how carefully they protect them. A lot of people will hold their cards up and you can tell they just can't wait to toss them in the muck when it's their turn. On the other hand, there are other people that very carefully put their card protector on their cards...they won't be folding preflop. You can get a pretty good idea how many people are going to see the flop, even from early position.

This is so true. When I play live, I make it a point to move my hands away from my cards until it's my turn whether I plan to bet or fold.
