I'm playing it and I still don't know a lot. It's basically a really open ended platform (marioish) game.

rented it, played a wee bit, good game, but not my style
its a platform like mario or crash bandicoot, but more advanced. its the ps3 trying to compete with the wii

So, which is the best platformer ever? And I want unbiased opinions.
IMO its SMB3. Even today, its still fucking fun. Everybody who played this at some point of their lives still remember the song.
This game (LittleBigPlanet) is very good and enjoyable too, a whole family kind of thing. It emphasizes physics of motion though.

Haven't checked it out yet. So the PS3 is sweet for peripherals. I get a blue tooth headset that pairs with both my ps3 and iphone. If I could find my usb keyboard I could plug it into the machine. Dunno where that thing went.
I need more people to sign onto LBP. I'm tired of playing alone.

it's like a next gen mario. After playing the map where you fly around in a hot air balloon, I'm convinced this is one of the best games I've played in years.
