Who is she and why does she keep sitting at high limits with durrrr/Ivey/Antonius? Everytime I've seen her at Rail Heaven she's getting owned.

Down almost $3M. Is this a pro running bad or just some rich douche who can afford the losses?

lol, its Guy LaLiberte (sp?). He is the owner of the Cirque de Soliel franchise, so yeah, this is pennies to him. He also plays under patatino and elmariachimacho.

Holy crap. 3 losing accounts? patatino is down $1.6M and elmariachimach is down $3.6. I guess FT doesn't care about his multiple accounts, eh?

And -$8M isn't much for someone of his wealth I guess. But damn....you'd think he'd want to has a chance to win. I guess this just proves that there are donks at all stakes.

He's apparently lost 30 million over the last two years. Even for a billonaire, that has to hurt, never mind the amount of time he's devoting to his degeneracy.

fun fact: in norwegian a billion is "1000,000,000,000", while "1000,000,000" is called a "milliard".

The more you know!

Lukie is on a distinguished road
what I don't understand is how the guy finds online poker fun. Like, were I worth billions, I'd be flying around in my private jet, hanging out in the Caribbean with a dozen beautiful women at my side, sipping cocktails, going to parties, etc.

I guess sitting by yourself in front of the computer, being far and away the biggest fish/losing player (that I know of) at online poker is fun too, though.

Some math:

hypthetically, if I had a billion dolalrs, it ould be at the bank and I'd live off the interest.

5% of a billion (a conservative interest estimate) is 50 MILLION dollars, money from money alone.

This is without factoring in whatever you earn from your actual business, etc.

Why would 8M over three years bother him anymore than say the bill for the fuel of his private jet?
My dream... is to fly... over the rainbow... so high...

True, but that type of thinking is typically contrary to the billionaire mind. Losing $8M or $80M in a business venture is nothing. It's the cost of doing business, and is accepted risk. These guys usually participate in money generating activities. I guess you could argue this for entertainment purposes, and that Guy is an artist, not a business man.

I guess it comes down to the value of money, of which I have high respect. I can spend $100 on dinner with my wife and not give it a second thought, but there's no way I could just wad up a $100 bill and throw it out my car window, either.

Just remember Lukie that while he's sitting around in his mansion playing poker online and burning money, he's doing it most of the time with Isebelle Mercier there for coaching.

I think getting the opportunity to spend quality alone time with her + show how balla you are would be worth the time on the computer.

Apart from that, he plays plenty of live cash too don't forget.
