I really enjoyed his novels..

But someone who bluffs with complete air then later claims he's value betting?? (Or other bad poker analogy for someone who takes partial facts and makes them into much more uber facts)..

Generally speaking I'm anti conspiracy theories but the fact that so many high profile Hollywood types are into scientology just sets alarm bells off. There must be something in it for them, I just can't figure out what.

It's probably like being in love; reason goes out the window. When it comes to superstitious stuff, reason also likes to leap out the window.

The community, the sense of awesomeness, the sense of security. I think South Park's episode on Chef and The Super Adventure Club had it right.

But what I don't understand is why they're Scientologists instead of Satanists. I mean, c'mon, Satanism is easily the best religion. It's exclusively about worshiping the body and sensation. I could get on board with something like that if I were more open and superstitious.

As far as conspiracy theory goes, I suspect that South Park's Scientology episode has it right as well. It is probable that the founders of Scientology know what they're doing, and understood that getting a few high profile constituents would be $$$

I heard before that even Hubbard said Scientology was a farce. Is that true?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I follow the flying spaghetti monster religion.

It has as much credibility as Scientology.

I meant that as being a money racket and attempting to defame anyone who opposes them.
