It seems to me that Kanye West is an extreme ego maniac. This is not the first time he has pulled a stunt like this at an awards show, he needs to get his ego under control and stfu when other people win.
Whats next, is he gonna take his mic to the Oscars and let em know what the real best picture was? Or hit up the Olympics and criticize judges when they don't give the score he thinks was appropriate?

I used to think I didn't like hip hop or rap, but that didn't make sense to me since I love all the arts. I realized that it was because most hip hop and rap actually suck, and I realized this once I found Blackalicious. They own the fuck out of all other hip hop ever created and it's not even close. You could take all the talent in every album with any relation to hip hop and rap and it still wouldn't even come close to one spit from Gift of Gab
They're a little retro, but actual talent is off the hook. Also, if you look around amateurs on youtube, you can find substantially better grooves than the mundane shit which is most mainstream hip hop. Of course this is the same for most music

Thanks. I like to exaggerate on issues I don't have enough experience with to make emphatic statements. I honestly haven't heard enough hip hop to claim Blackalicious is the best. I was very surprised when I first heard them though

I am so into mashups now I can't listen to a single genre anymore for any length of time. My teenage years ( early 80's) had me listening to Zeppelin and The Doors and I had music on tape from Grandmaster Flash and Safari. I DJ'd /Bounced a bit in the late 80's/early 90's so I heard a ton of that retro music and dance (Sexomatic) I now listen to a ton of stuff like BEP, Eminem, Kid rock and whatever flavor of the day is with some edge. you my friend just discovered M.O.P... They are dope, pretty much the only cats that do rap-rock that isnt pop or soft. Also they are fortunate to be in tight with premier so they get a good amount of stuff produced by him.

It was a Samoleus video on Bluefire Poker that turned me on to GirlTalk. Since then I have found a ton I like. I like a lot more of the mainstream songs mixed with retro or old rock though. DJ type stuff and not original works so far.

my comments look pretty fucked up on their own, but they stem from a conversation I had with one of my teammates (a black guy). we went out on Saturday night to the club (big group of us), and we told him to bring any/all of his friends, the more the merrier. when he showed up alone we asked him why, and he responded with, "I didn't bring anyone else because all of my friends are n*ggers." everyone just kind of accepted his comment and moved on, but it kind of bothered me.
