If any of you guys are interested, I have a nice boxing tip for Jones/Tarver this weekend.

Jones WAS a legendary fighter but now he's well past his best and coming off 2 knockout losses, most recently to Glen Johnson but before that to Tarver himself (KO2).

Jones' status and past genius has compelled knowledgeless people to back him and consequently the odds have been juiced in Tarver's favour.

I strongly believe tarver will win, and you can back him at around 1/2 here (england) but in the US the odds may well be more generous. These are great odds for a fighter who SHOULD have come in at around 1/7 if it wasn't for all the misinformed, hype fuelled money that's gone on Jones.

You called it. I watched the fight at the Ceasar's Palace sportsbook in Las Vegas. The crowd was pro-Jones so you knew he was losing when things got quiet. Jones looked good in the 5th round but Tarver just seems to have his number.

so you backed tarver then eric? What I didn't tell you was that I ended up dumping a considerable sum on Tarver to win in the first 3 rounds- I really thought he'd smoke Roy early.

Dang!

No, I didn't have money on the fight but I think a lot of folks at the Ceasar's Book had money on Jones. The crowd got pretty quiet near the end of the fight...
