the one with karl rove is taken out of context because he was talking about kaine wouldnt be good on obama's ticket because of lack of experience, because of how unexperienced obama is, whereas mccain has been in the senate 25-30 years or w/e so its not as big a deal. the one with dick morris' being sexist is a poor analogy imo. also the one with jamie lynn spears on o'reilly has some legitimacy, but surely you can see why its different. the spears family is pretty disfunctional. also, he has been just as compassionate to dem's families when something like a sex scandal (spitzer/edwards) is made public.
for the record though i still thought it was funny.

yep
anything can be thought of as biased. are biologists biased for evolution or are they making the most correct decision based on all the evidence, are missles biased towards speed accuracy penetration and explosion or are they required to have those attributes in order to be successful?
it could simply just be that the most correct political policies are found on the liberal side, yet that does not mean that the media that espouses those policies is biased.
besides, media is mostly wrong anyways. the more i learn about govt's roll in politics throughout history the more i learn that they most often were able to keep the truth out of the populous, and thus the popular debate was about the wrong stuff.
fwiw, i am not liberal. i am merely new to liberal politics, and i am 100% against neo-republicans because they achieve the opposite of that which they say they will. for example, fiscal conservativism. yea, how many people are republicans because they want fiscal responsibility, and how much worse at fiscal responsibility are republicans than democrats?
also, the parties' policies have changed a bunch over the years. for example, repubs like to point out that lincoln was a repub. well yea he was but at that time repubs were the liberal party.

Actually, there's a significant segment of the republican party that consider small govt and fiscal conservatism an essential plank. Of course, GW is obv not one of 'em, and they got no love for him anyhoo. Point is, they're not the ones that get the press... it's the raving loonie "God hates homos" right fringe that the media loves to focus on cause, well, it's not really about educating anyone on anything meaningful, is it?
Same is true for the left... Uber-hypocritical hollywood aside, there's a significant segment of the liberal left that don't think gay marriage should be the defining bright line for who gets elected... that there are a few other things a bit more important... and have a few more substantive things to say than Michael Moorish "bush is antichrist... bad bad bad... arggghghhhhhhh!.... lets all move to Canada". (Actually, Moore's slide to irrelevance and demagoguery is pretty pathetic... the guy was a f-in genius with Roger and Me....)
So what do we get? A media that (for ratings sake) picks the loudest parts of the fringe from both parties and pounds us over the head with "these are your choices!"

i agree
however, what i was referring to was how many fiscally conservative voters still vote for the non-fiscally conservatives of the republican party. not to mention that the right wing leaning media hates fiscal conservatives.
ron paul is a great example of a real fiscal conservative, and he got wiped out by the controllers of his party. imo had faux noise and the powers in repub party embraced ron paul he would now be annihilating obama in the polls.
