I keep running into this guy on Party Poker that just hounds anybody who makes fishy plays. He tells them they are fish and points out their VP$IP is 80 and that they are just lucky and will eventually lose. They probably don't even know what VP$IP is. They leave after they can't take it any more. His VP$IP is 15, so he's playing pretty tight. I told him to cut it out the other night but I go on a table tonight and he's right back at it. He's ruining some nice tables for me.

The funny thing is he lost his stack twice in 15 minutes to these so-called fish tonight. I wish I could PM him to explain how foolish he is.

Ehh, I hate when I have "that guy" at my table. "That guy" being the poker genius telling everyone how they should play, or better yet, why their plays were bad. Why can't these people just STFU and take the money that is given to them, or be quiet when money that *should* have been theirs goes accross the table?

I used to have some of "that guy" in me when I started...but it's a -EV play. People will get an idea that you know a thing or two about poker and avoid you like the plague.

Just take your bad beats and type "nh" afterwards, and nothing more. You want them making that same bonehead play against you the next time.

I never understood people like that.. sometimes I try to be "that" guy at my home game with my friends.. but in a respectful manner. I don't mind taking their money, but a lot of them play online, and they are all losing players. When someone blames their ever-shrinking bankroll on "not getting any cards", you know they are bad.

I think I saw someone once say,

"Only a bigger idiot encourages bad players to leave the table."

If he doesn't realize where his money is coming from remind him why he plays at party. Otherwise, send him over to the Absolute rock garden and see how much he enjoys playing with all the other tightwads.
