One of the coolest guys ever... I saw him in summer 2005 supporting a Red Hot Chilli Peppers gig in Hyde Park, London of all things and he was AMAZING.

I James Brown. I happen to be in Augusta, GA for the holidays, his birthplace and home. I went to visit the statue of him downtown on Saturday, two days before he died. Kind of freaky.
He really is the originator of most of the good music of the last 30 years. If you haven't had a JB phase, I highly recommend the albums "The Payback" and "Make It Funky: The Big Payback: 1971-1975" a double-CD compilation (among others). Great party music.

Wow. And in more shocking news, Dwarfman apparently isn't dead.
