I think all you guys who believe in the rail thread jinx are clowns and I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. Every time I make a big final table I'll post here. I'm bound to win one of them sooner or later right? Anyway I'm 3rd in chips at tonight's final table of a 1K Wynn Classic prelim, 55K for first.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I did get lucky but you have to play well too and I made two terrible folds plus an inexcusable live poker noob mistake of folding my BB when limped to because I thought I was the SB. Came in 4th for 12K and I really think a good player would have taken 1st or 2nd the majority of the time with the cards and situations I got. The most frustrating thing is this is the same thing that happened last time I had a chance at a huge score (Super Tuesday a couple weeks ago).
I'm happy with the scores but I feel like I'm playing a losing/breakeven game and just winning by running hot. I don't know what's happened, two months ago I felt great about my game but lately I've just been making tons of mistakes where two minutes after the hand I realize how terrible I played it.
Anyway I'll still bump this thread next time I make a big FT because I still need to prove that the jinx is dumb.

I say do not try to prove the jinx, you'll end up dabbling in superstition while trying to prove superstition is dumb.
Just play your game which we all know is good (and avoid black cats in the process) and you have nothing to prove imo.
