NYT: Across nation, mosque projects meet opposition - U.S. news - The New York Times - msnbc.com

I can't blame victim families of 911 for having a problem but what do the rest have to be afraid of?
I love when reason gets put away in the face of fear.

This is more about the reaction to put others up across the country, not ground zero, but fine, lets complain about something else and move on.

I usually don't take an issue with retarded people. Believe in your celestial whatever, I don't care that you're stupid. You have to have some serious case of overly politically correct liberal fag tho to stand there and watch the spread of islam and see nothing wrong with it. I mean... cmon... have you read the news lately. If you think it's all fear mongering I invite you to talk to some devout muslims yourself... what they think about emanzipation, state laws and people who insult their skydaddy.

3 of the 7 happiest countries in the world are also 3 of the 7 least religious countries in the world (Denmark, Sweden, and Finland).

This has little to do with religion and more with subversive extremists supressing their women, indoctrinating their children and trying to take sharia law into the court rooms. All that under the veil of religion, denouncing everyone who opposes as being intolerant to their believes.

There absolutely should be freedom of religion, but even more importantly there should be freedom from religion. Not a day goes by without another father or brother killing a family member for breaking sharia law, or another underaged girl getting married by force. If we want to move foreward as a society we need to stand up against those who poison it with their idiotic dogmatic believes.

Unfortunately it's usually the 'extremists' who've read the books the most closely. There is *literal endorsement* for all of the above in the texts of every major world religion without any need for subversion of said texts.

THANK YOU

for making sense.

If you remove the message of hate, fear and intolerance there is usually nothing left but idiotic gibberish and geneologies in any religion. Thankfully that is what christianity has largely been reduced to, and we're much better off for it.
