Post subject: Which Ipod do I get?

Alright I got enough "points" through an affiliate to buy either an black ipod nano or a black 30GB ipod video.
I will not need more memory than the Nano has but I can't believe that the 30GB is only 50 dollars more.
What do you guys think?

I am also debating this at the moment just made my first 1K withdrawl and I want a poker pod! I think the nano is too small, i'd be worried about it snapping. The 60gig is just too big unless you have a ridiculous amount of music, probably better for video but I am not going to use that I dont think. To me sitting oblivious to the world staring at a very expensive and desirable peice of kit is asking for it to be stolen! So i'm getting the 30gig in black. Now I just need to decide what to engrave on the back......

Something else just to throw in here after doing some reasearch:
The 30 GB easily gets scratched quite a bit and they haven't yet come out with a protective case for it.
I am leaning towards the 30 Gb now, though.

all iPods get easily scratched, no matter what gen.
btw I bought my iPod around september of last year and it has officially begun to crap out on me. I've been meaning to make a run to the Apple store to see what they think the deal is but haven't got a chance. Just dont think these bitches last forever

The nano sucks imo. I know it's small, but it can't hold shit. Why pay that much when you can get an mp3 player that can hold a decent amount of songs?

my ipod has dents in it from being dropped multiple times on concrete. i think that might be part of the reason mine is dying on me too at one point it wouldn't turn on, it wouldn't charge, it wouldn't do anything no matter what i did. i got all upset and went to work thinking about how i couldn't afford a new one. i got home like 6 hours later, checked on it, and all of a sudden it was working fine again. wtf?

Okay,
I think I'm gonna go with the 30 GB video ipod.

I'm not quite sure if it has all that I need. (I'm thinking headphones, USB cable, charger, some form of protection or case)

I picked up an Ipod Mini back in September, like a week before they released the Nano and rendered the mini obsolete.
I still don't regret it.
Ipods are +EV.
I take that thing everywhere, wire it into my car stereo, home stereo... and mowing the lawn has never kicked more ass.
A note about "Not needing the extra space... bull. If you have it, you will find a way to use it. Mark my words.
I use mine all the time playing online, too... it works well to drown out distractions and help me focus.

If you want to be a sheep and follow the crowd, get an IPOD. There are many other DAPs out there that are just as good if not better. Go to DapReview and check out some of them. They cover IPODs too but they cover everything. If you live in an urban area, an IPOD is a hot item to steal - right out of your hands too. Besides the "follower" issue, another issue is they don't play Windows Media Audio or OGG (I"m pretty sure). You pretty much have to hook into ITunes to get the most out of it.
