Any way to track an IP address through an aim conversation? Had a practical joke (involving my truck and flour) occur a little bit ago. Then received an aim message from the people who did it; however, obviously they had shit disguised. Now I'm pretty certain I know who did it, yet the people I believe who did it are my friends as a practical joke, which I fully intend to repay them for. Yet i do want to be certain before I go fucking with my friends car.
Any idea of how to find out if it was them? I have them added as friends on AIM, so would jsut need to compare the IP address of their regular account to the IP addess of the "crime ridden" account.
Thanks.

I don't know a lot about the IM protocol, but I imagine that your IM client doesn't communicate directly to theirs (which would be necessary for what you want), but rather through a server somewhere.

You could try to direct connect, then I'm sure there is some way you could do it.
