Hello Folks,
Not sure if this is the norm, but just thought I'd introduce myself and say g'day to all.
I'm a relative novice compared to some of you having spent the last few months playing online only. Small buy-in SnG's and Tourneys mainly on PStars.
There are no places to play live here in Australia, however me thinks will only be a matter of time.
I feel like my game is slowly improving, but not at any rapid rate. I'm still finding my way reading folks and developing my play.
Have been staying afloat on SnG's and had a number of minor collects in Open tourneys - no big cash-outs .... but not often making deposits either.
Ran into Ripptyde in a tourney the other day actually .... and he won't remember but was about the 3rd occasion we had met. Took him out too and he went to town on me from observer mode.
His A3o vs my A2s ..... tried to tell me how he always had me until I got suit runners. I had a few notes on him and his aggression .... hopefully he'll laugh about it now. It was always going to be a stand-off Ripp
Have read a couple of books and been trolling various forums reading stuff, trying to learn. Sorta feel like I'm not a beginner any more, but probly barely and intermediate and seem to have huge swings ..... ie One day I can't do a thing wrong and my balance skyrockets and next day I play every hand in fear. Perhaps this is normal early days.
This is the first time i've registered at any Poker forums.
Cheers All

Smallish country town (by your standards) of about 120,000 near Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Same state they shot Survivor "The Australian Outback".
Gradually working my way through all the stickied threads atm
Cheers

Welcome my friend. My brother in law just got back from down under. Went to Arcadia University for a semester. Beautiful pictures and girls down there.
