I have no clue where to post this hand, I thought it was funny as hell. I guess op put me on a bigger straight? And no it wasnt a misclick, Ive been playing with him at this table for quite a while and he has been playing at a pretty quick place, the fold took him like 15 seconds

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, J.
Hero raises to $0.08, BB calls $0.06.

BB checks, Hero bets $0.16, BB calls $0.16.

Turn: ($0.48) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($0.48) K (2 players)

-EV shove imo (you are donating rake). Not amusing or surprising that people don't know the rules at these stakes. This happens all the time, but I still think it's stupid to shove a nut board.

not if the rake is capped. and also if you do it vs a 20 tabling robot, i would think theres at least a 1/100 chance of a misclick fold.

yeah but some people look at a min bet and actually think, whereas a shove may invoke some compulsive or instinctive fold, because they see a big over shove and dont look at the board closely and fold.

Maybe he made +EV move, since he avoided paying rake on all the extra and therefore lost the least amount of money. So really he wasn't confused at all.
