any FTR members in Louisiana? I can't believe people are actually considering staying there, that bitch is going to flatten New Orleans.

I've been through 2 catagory 3s in Corpus christi TX, but I'd be getting out of dodge by now.

I feel sorry for the people there, that city might be another Venice when it's all over.

I've been through Hugo, Fran, Bonnie, Bertha, and Floyd. They all was crazy. Especially Fran. The wind was blowing so hard that it bent the pine trees in the yard over at 90 degree angles. Them people in Lousiana need to get on out of there cause that low laying land is going to flood right quick. God Bless all them.

Someone said Cyndy lives in New Orleans, if that's true I'd imagine she's gettin' out of there.

Apparently a Category 5 hurricane is the equivalent of an F3 tornado, except it just stays there for a lot longer.

Wind damage mixed in with horrible flooding...looks like Marti Gras will be relocated this year.

6 feet BELOW sea level.

This could be really ugly.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

6 feet BELOW sea level. It sits in a bowl.

This will be really ugly.

A category 5 Hurricane has only made landfall like 4 times since we started tracking it.

It's not a laughing matter. The death toll could be into the 5 figures.

There is still bumper to bumper traffic along I-10 in Gulfport.

This could be bad.

I have family and property in harm's way.

Running bad this month, I guess.

I'm new here and I have been in lots of hurricanes. Living in eastern north Carolina, we see our share. Let's all hope the hurricane gets beat down as soon as possible.

Is there any place where I should properly introduce myself?

I'm from Fayetteville, got people in Lumberton and near the beach. I'm pretty new here too, but welcome to the site. Should find a lot of interesting reads on here.

I just saw reports on ESPN that people were stayin' at the SilverDome (the place where the N.O. Saints play home football games). The winds ripped 2 holes in the roof...pretty crazy.

SuperDome.

But the damage wasn't structurally threatening.

Plax was the guy who caught a 35 yrd pass and spiked it before being downed effectively fumbling the ball.

You can keep Plax.

Ya, silverdone is in Pontiac, MI. The Detroit Lions now play at Ford field and it is much nicer. Too bad the team is still pathetic.
