I heard about this over the weekend, but brushed it off.
Pretty much, I could upload a picture with this security breach to FTR, and then steal the passwords of anyone who loaded the picture. You wouldn't even know until I drained all the money out of your accounts.
The good news, Microsoft says they have no fix.

i dont understand how this works. is this through activex/java or an ie flaw? i dont see how one could get this virus if he has actx/java disabled (standard) and doesnt use ie (not a moron).

It's a WINDOWS flaw with images. I don't do that anymore so I don't know exactly how the flaw is exploited. I could put an image with a virus on a CD and use it in you computer and you'd get it. It has nothing to do with IE.
