Did a friend tell you about it? Did you hear about it while reading a thread on another site? Was someone spamming on the rail? Did you get pwnt by one of its members in ring and stalk him ever since?

And how long have you been a member?

Lastly, did it make you a better player, a worse player, not affect your game one bit?

Been here for 1 year 1 month apporximately.

It has made me a poker player, so I would say it has made me a better player.

I heard Chris Moneymaker turned $40 into $2,500,000 so I googled him and found FTR.

Moneymaker is the best poker player in the world.

i remember sucking bad at online poker and was looking for a forum, boy, what a change that was.

I also remember reading Radashack's tournament post and thinking "eureka, I can bet without a hand!"

I was playing in a SNG at Poker Stars and someone had the FTR logo as their avatar, so I went to the site while playing in the tourney, and have been here ever since. I still don't know who it was, but I know I finished ahead of them
This is a true story. I'm not a paid actor. FTR does not guarantee any results. People can and do lose money when playing poker.

I googled one of my screen names, found myself in a hand history someone posted here, and started lurking. Fnord's "Why you suck at limit hold'em" post completely changed my game. I just looked at it again and found at least eight things I used to to that made me suck.

6 months here and I found the site after googling. I used to suck before I started reading FTR and some miscellaneous sources. I have develop greatly as a poker player because of the site and the people. Also, 1 day after reading Rada's MTT guide for the first time, I won my first MTT. Thanks for the help bud(s)!

I was looking to the sound strategy of 5c draw but found only Holdem sites, I gave a shot to Holdem, then search "no limit holdem strategy", play money and then real money.

$30 into $300 in 10 days, playing 6max, after tight preflop and aggro postflop, showing down some goods, THEN looser preflop and lots of "asshole style" steals and bluffs.

Very good forum. I learned a lot from SmackinYaUp's and dalecooper's hand histories, mostly 6max.
