this should be called ME, the idiot
but that has already been done
going to let my wife cut open my foot, to get at an infected puncture wound
lots of alcohol will be consumed by me as bravery(stupidity) stimulant
OK depressant
best way to describe the wound is as a large splinter in the sole of my foot
the wound is 3/4 of an inch long and about 1/16 to 1/8 inch under the skin
hopefully will take some pics for all you sickos

you should have a plan for closing the incision though(something that long and deep will not close on its own for awhile) and if its infected antibiotics.

Dr. flomo(wife) said she is not going to close it, opening just the end that is infected to drain it and let some air in
super splinter happened at a NLHE home game form a hard wood floor
i broke even, but it was only 30-40 hands played in 3 hours
alot of drinking and bullshitting

but i outlasted Dr. flomo(pathologist), she would not go deeper than a 1/8th of an inch in to me
even though she saw 3 pieces of splinter that she could not recover

some corrections
wife didn't want me to freak out last night when drunk, so she talked to me this morning over the phone
the doc said this morning that the splinter was deeper than i had originally thought( 1/8 inch deep )
Dr. flomo told me she cut in to a depth of 1/4 inch and was able to see 3 small splinters that were too deep to be removed by home surgery
the splinter took place at a home game on january 25th

update
my foot was killing me and barely able to walk on it. sunday march 23rd
i soaked it in peroxide for an hour and got some tweezers to remove the black sock fibers in the wound. there was some brown thing in there and pulled it out.
ended up pulling 2 more pieces of wood out
foot feels alot better
