Holiday Weekend in Taxco (Mexico, w/pics)

We spent a long weekend in Taxco, Guerrero (Mexico) this past weekend as part of the Mexican Independence Day holiday.
Taxco, The Town
Taxco is located about 120 miles northeast of Acapulco and is known for its silver mines and local silver markets. As you can see from the pictures, it's mostly built along several hillsides. The streets are NARROW and most of the cars (especially taxicabs) are VW bugs since those are the only ones that will fit.
Hotel
We stayed at Posada De La Mision, which was nice in some ways because of the view. The swimming pool water was frigid but the twins didn't give a ****, they swam anyway. The beds were rock-hard and the restaurant food was awful, but there were plenty of other places to eat at with better food.
We also visited Hotel Monte Taxco on our first night in town since they had a Saturday night buffet-part with fireworks and other family-oriented activities.
Sightseeing
A. "El Cristo" - It's a big "Christ" figure located on one of the hillside peaks and has probably the best view of Taxco.
B. "Las Cascadas" - Natural waterfalls are pretty fun to go and see. It's a bit out of the way and slippery to talk around (my ex busted her ass trying to climb down).
C. "Santa Prisca" - The main church there was the site of the "Midnight Yell" (which actually takes place at 11:00pm) on September 15th.
D. "Zocalo" - The main town square
E. Cable Cars - My first experience in a cable car. It was fun and had a great view of the town.
F. Silver Market - Wrought silver at dirt-cheap prices... good times.
G. Golf Course - A 9 hole trek unsuited for a golf cart (they won't make it up & down the hills). It's pretty crappy but has one of the cheapest greens fees in the country at $40 for all day.
