Great game, close as hell, Canada remains at the top of the hockey world and how fitting that Sidney Crosby gets the final goal.....he is our hockey golden boy.

Most golds > most medals total imo
We ended on a tied 3rd with the USA in #golds (wayy behind in #medals though), not too shabby.
hey p4's, how did you like old suomi's results?

I had numerous heart attacks watching that game and too almost collapsed when the yanks scored with 24 seconds. Miller deserves a lot of credit though he had a great Olympics. Just came back from downtown Toronto, it's pandemoneum. OH CANADA FTW

That was an insanely intense game. Glad we pulled through, Nash was a beast I thought. Also glad Miller got recognition from the fans in the rink at the end, definitely deserved mvp.

yeah definitely one of the more epic sports moments i've ever experienced. Sidethought : Jonathan Toews is even better than I thought he was (and I remember that ridic shootout performance in the world juniors). And yeah Nash was sick too. It's just funny that Crosby somehow struggles through the whole tournament but still somehow comes out of it an even bigger hero than he was going in. Damn that guy runs good at life.

Haha so true, no one in 20 years is going to remember how well anyone else played, all anyone will remember is that Crosby saved the day with the OT goal.
I'm glad he scored it though. Partly because he's Canada's golden boy and it's only fitting. But there was a Crosby hater I was watching the game with that was tilting the hell out of me. He was waiting for his chance the whole game to unload and wouldn't shut up after Crosby's flubbed breakaway. Not that I'm a Crosby superfan but I seriously don't see how that's a fun way to watch a sport.

i live beside gm place like literally can throw a rock and hit it, the intensity in this city for olympics was nuts, i was on robson watching the game and afterwards the emotion and energy level was like nothing ive ever seen before or will ever see again in my life. my 18 day bender must come to a close now, time to detox and let the alcohol seep out of my system

This makes me a little happy that you guys won the gold. If we had one they would have maybe gotten the front page of the sports section...maybe.

I'm sure the yanks are tired of us talking about this still, but I just found this video and found it pretty cool: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
Start at about 1:10 in.

It was insane. Everyone freaked out from where ever they were watching the game then they all just converged on Robson street running in from all directions. I wonder if a cup win would be near as crazy?

Damn, were you there? fml
@'rilla yeah I saw that too. Don't blame em, positions reversed I bet the same would happen here. Totally sucks they didn't start Miller that game though, woulda been kinda cool to see a Crosby/Miller rematch 2 days later, haha.
