Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I used to post here like mad, roughly coinciding with the period in which I was playing poker like mad (several hours a day usually). I went into a long stretch without poker, basically when that legislation was passed and Party closed their doors; and I left FTR as well at that point.
Just recently I've started playing some again - not like I was, but I have a modest roll on Full Tilt and usually play 4-5 hours a week on there. It's little more than recreation for me at this point. Unless it turns into something more again I doubt I'll be around FTR that much. But I wanted to give a head nod toward some people who helped me improve my game so much.
Now I'm off to post one interesting hand from a recent SnG. Take 'er easy.

Trip! Holy crap, I'm glad you're still around here. I still have fond memories of that day we played headsup (cash game-style) on Party and were throwing money around like idiots with unsuited garbage. Good times.
Yep, I have a Halo 3 LAN game almost every week, and play on Live off and on. (Gamertag is "el megapwn" if you want to look me up.) The last week I've been distracted by the Call of Duty campaign but I'll probably be getting back to some online Halo tonight.

I do alright.  I like playing on Live, you can find some good competition in the higher ranks. I tend to stomp on the guys in my LAN game. Which if we were playing poker would be fine, but in Halo I feel a little guilty...

wow it's dalecooper. I was in love your posts and your blog back when you posted a lot. You were one of a few people who made me really like FTR when I first joined.

Hey all! Courtie, Gabe - it's great you're both still posting here. This place has actually changed less than I would have thought.
Probably a no go on the new blog, Courtie. I do like shooting my mouth off and all, but I'm not playing enough (or at a high enough level, right now) to make it worth anyone's while. I do blog about random media and culture crap on wordpress though - here if you're interested. A lot of it is about music, movies, and TV.

Too many to list, but I would say I learned a lot from Fnord, quite a bit from 'rilla, quite a bit from ilikeaces (does he still post here?), and not a small amount from smackinyaup and others. I even learned the joy of raising with 74 offsuit from ripptide. I still do that, actually; it's my favorite random raise hand.
