I'm planning a trip with a few buddies for the first week in October and need some advice. We are most likely going to stay at the MGM which works out to be like $285/person for a 4 night stay. One of my buddies is a huge life nit and is pushing the Flamingo which would only be like $220/person for 4 nights. I stayed at the MGM like 10 years ago and it was very nice, lots to do in house, etc. The flamingo and others at that pricepoint dont really excite me. Does anyone have any good tips on good cheap places to stay?

Do the IP. You'll make the nit happy and you're right in the middle of a bunch of big casinos, and several good smaller ones ($1 Michelobe's yo). This area is where I've spent the vast majority of my time.

Also, I'm pretty sure suite's in the Venetian work out to $250/person and they're balla.

I stayed at the Imperial Palace this month. Standard double room - 2 double beds, shower, cable tv. It came out to just under $50/nt for the room.

There is no minibar, fridge, safe, anyhting else in the room. The casino is a dump. But it is right on the strip, next to Harrahs, across from Caesars, so you can go wherever u want.
