Post subject: Help Needed with Ridiculous Homework

Ok so I'm in this ridiculously vague class for my Digital Media Major at UCF, and I'm having some trouble with last couple assignments. The class is Interactive Entertainment. I don't know how it's usually taught but this prof tries so hard to be creative and unconventional. The whole semester has been about taking a storyline (which we selected in the beginning of the semester) from something like a movie or game and then creating different things each week to add on to that franchise. I picked Fight Club as my story. So each week I've had to create something (Playground/Toy/Game/etc.) that is interactive and entertaining while incorporating my story somehow. Well the last 2 assignents are killing me. The first is Retailtainment (Example: Build-a-Bear) in which I must develop a concept to sell something in an interactive and entertaining way while incorporating my story. The second is just "The Future." So I have to figure out a way to make up something interactive and entertaining while using my story and I have to either use very new technology that isn't mainstream yet or just come up with something innovative (his examples for innovative stuff were like eBay or ringtones). I hate this crap, and I'm coming up with absolutely no good ideas for these last 2.
So help me kthx?

Retail - like how you can buy new weapons in ps3 games etc? can you do something like that for FIGHT CLUB?!
I dont understand, am i going in the right direction?

I'm pretty sure he wants something to be sold in the real world for real money. An example would be Build-a-Bear. Those bears and stuff are being sold in an interactive and entertaining way.

In the movie didn't they make soap from fat they stole from a liposuction clinic?
Just market some soap or candles that soccer moms can make from the fat that gets sucked out of their ass.

1) Doesn't a Mixed Martial Arts gym make a natural tie in? Combonation of freestyle fighting and training.
2) "Virtual fighting" where only the pain is virtual. (You've got sensors all over your body that capture your every move and translate into onto the screen.

Thanks for really thinking about this for me.
1. So a gym like gold's gym with a monthly fee or whatever?
2. Hmm. I like this idea. What kind of pain are we talking about? Shock? Pinch? Or is that part of the "future" aspect where it would just feel like what it's supposed to feel like in real life? Would there be a way to heal after the fight or are you just left with the pain for days?

NP, though I only thought about it for a few minutes, it's your homework you know 
1) In reality you'ld have to find a way to keep people segemented by skill, so the Tysons of the world don't crush the Urkel's. Yeah, a monthly fee seems reasonable. Not a Gold's Gym, more of a boxing gym with street fighting.
2) My thought (which doesn't need to be used) is that your "character" would exactly mimic your moves, but, since it's virtual, you'd feel no pain. Or, you could have the same thing and you feel the pain, but the pain is (somehow) temporary.
