since its just tuna salad, it doesn't belong in the pimpin thread. Im trying to eat healthy lately so ive been eating a lot of tuna. This morning i put together random items as follows:
3 cans chunk light tuna
sufficient mayo (i tend to go pretty light on the mayo)
2 hard boiled eggs sliced mashed
1/4 cup green onion diced
2 slices sweet pickle diced
lots of pepper
how can i improve this

Use fresh tuna. Once you do that you'll never want to eat canned tuna again.
Also I like to chop up an apple and put it in.

That kind of depends on what your complaint is. Too bland? Looking for more veg in it?
I like diced celery in mine. That's right, I go wild.

QFT. If you have Whole Foods grocery store in your area they have excellent fresh tuna. It costs $19/lb but once you eat it you will know why.
If you must use canned tuna, Trader Joe's canned tuna is inf better than that from other grocery stores.

Use dill relish instead of sweet. Much better, IMO. Add a dash of cayenne, and salt to taste.
And don't skimp on the mayo, ldo

sub some sour cream for mayo.
capers.
lemon zest/juice.
leave out mayo all together and go for a sort of mediterranian vinaigrette. Lemon juice, whute wine vinegar, garlic, caper, shallot grapeseed oil (oo is fine if thats all you have) and a bit of sugar to round it out.
other suggestions in this thread are good, but be careful how you combine them. A tuna salad with all these things added would end up tasting like crap, gotta get the right combos eldeeoh

If you're trying to eat healthy you cant have mayo. Its like eating lard.
I eat my tuna with BBQ sauce and whole wheat bread. It doest taste as good, but its much better for you.

Try Tuna Nicoise Salad: http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes...ecipe_p_1.html
Its got a ton of flavour in it, but its quite an assortment to put together. U can simplify it obv, especially the vinaigrette.
oh and +1 for not using canned tuna, quickly sear sum fresh tuna steaks ftw

I make tuna with franks redhot and blue cheese dressing. No bread, no carbs, right out of the can.

u can eat mayo, just not a lot. it's not like mayo is evil. in fact, if u ate nothing then mayo would actually be super good for u.

Good classic Italian tuna salad:
mix all the below together:
1x tin of tuna
1 x pepper
1 x red/sweet onion
1 x bunch of parsley finely chopped
1 x tin of borlotti beans (though can use most beans, though not kidney)
for dressing : 1 x lemon and olive oil, salt and pepper.
really simple, but serously good and healthy. Fuck mayo.
