I'm looking for somebody to help me with designing a high-end computer system, which I'll probably buy from dell.com. Ironically, I work online but I know very little about putting computers together, designing systems, etc. Ditto with the kind of software I'm going to need.
Basically, this is what I'm looking for:
A high end computer system that's capable of doing pretty much everything, from work (nothing too strenuous on a computer), multi-tabling poker sites, music, gaming (I don't necessarily need a top of the line gaming computer, but I'd like to be able to play anything I want. I usually play console...), pictures, etc.
Plus I'm going to want one of the Dell 24 inch or 30 inch ultrasharp TV's. If anybody has one of these and has anything at all to say about them, I would very much appreciate it. At first, I was thinking the 30 incher might be a little overkill but it's probably the one I want most but I'd like others' opinions on it first.
I also want a high quality mouse, maybe a high quality keyboard, a laser printer (ideally color) + scanner + copier + fax all-in-one unit.
I will also probably need a router so I can hook it up to the xbox360 and ps3 systems when I eventually get those.
I also want to get the basic software, like windows xp, word, excel, etc.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, or has any opinions, tips, warnings, etc., I'd very much appreciate it. I need all the help I can get. Either leave a message in this thread, send me a PM, or IM me on AIM at LukieStyle3.

damnit prozach! you made me spend over 5 grand on a computer system!
Lol, seriously though, thanks a lot.. I know it took awhile and you had to deal with some ridiculous questions from myself, but we got it done. Thanks again for all your help. Just gotta get the router from the store and I'll be good to go.

2405s are awesome. have 2 and love them.
if you really want to play consoles using your computer monitor id stay away from dell products since its VERY iffy if theyre hd compatible. great monitors (at least the ones with sammy panels) but not so good for stuff that requires hd inputs.
apple 23 or 30 is probably your best bet . 30 is 2500 but is definitely hd compatible. playing computer games at that resolution on highest settings would take a ridiculous vid card setup though. id honestly recommend 2x7800gtx 512s or 2x the asus 7800gtx (x2s).
anyway, unless youre getting $1500 worth of vid cards and a monitor setup over $2k i dont really understand why its coming to over 5k. considering youre not even really considering playing computer games it should not be that high.
edit you def dont need a router lol.

you spend 5 g's on a computer system.... specs? I hope you didn't buy the computer off dell, because spending that much on a dell box is just flat out rediculous.
