hey, i'm a new member here. was recommended by Mr. Rippytyde ,... pretty neat site if you ask me. I haven't had much chance to look into great detail all the articles and hand replays but, having read through a number of holdem strategy books-- the information looks consistent. In any case, i've been playing poker since i was very little (mainly 5-draw, and variations of 7-stud, no peek, etc.. and rumy)

I just started playing Holdem seriously at the beginning of the year when i entered a $65 tournament with some local cops and friends and ended up chopping the prize money for 1st and 2nd place with some ex-fireman. Since then i've played alot on Pokerstars ... and lost some money there just learning the game that really--- i think is the only way you can learn such lessons (by spending real money that is) and have made most of it back playing @ Paradise.

I mainly stick to Multi-Table tourneys and Mini-Tourneys (one table) and occasionally i'll play heads up for $20-$200.

Well, yeah, there's a little bit about me. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone and contributing to this community.

adios,

-sonichart

Hey Sonichart, welcome to FTR!

Nice avatar, huge Pumpkins fan here, have that symbol on a t-shirt from one of their concerts.

Hope you stick around and contribute to these forums, a lot of cool cats hang out here, and we're all just getting better and better at poker.

Later.

rippy did mention to you that new board members make a deposit in my party poker account, right?

for $25, you get a short bio and a signed picture of me in an FTR thong.

for $100, you still get the bio, but i also send a signed statement promising i will never send you a picture of me in an FTR thong.

welcome!

If you send him no money, you actually get an FTR thong that was actually worn by fishstick!
