I'm sure people have seen this before but it was first time for me.
Hellmuth loses it
I love the bit at the end where Hellmuth wants to see the camera footage so he can see what Annie Duke had and someone from the table shouts, "she already showed her hand Phil". Hellmuth says "what was it?" and whoever shouts back "Ace 8". Class.

Yea helmuth were out of line but a couple of the others were too. He wasnt really that rude when he first asked them to be quiet. Gus Hansen was goading him quite alot at the start.

That's Pokah, and if Hellmuth tilt's, too bad. Grow up, It's not rocket science. he was hamming it up then got pissed about the taunting. He is trying to demand respect, maybe he should try and earn it. If it wasn't bugging him they would have moved on.

Yeah everyone was being a bit of a douche. Phil is a whiny brat, but the others were definitely goading him. Its pretty poor form to not shut up when asked. The guy was making a fairly important decision.
So, how many years has Phil been playing?

Have we ever seen Hellmuth outperform the best players in the world? It is painfully obvious that he struggles against great competition unlike other world-class players who seem to shine against said competition (Reese, Ivey, Brunson). Hellmuth is his best publicist. I used to love him b/c he epitomizes how most of us feel after getting knocked out of a tournament. However, I have come to realize he is really good against amateurs and quite poor against the pros.

Agreed. If I were Annie Duke here I'd be a more than a little upset at Sheikan's behavior. Hellmuth looked like he might make that call and I think part of the reason he folded was because he was flustered by Sheikan's comments (not just the one at the end, but the whole sequence).

The problem isn't that Helmuth can't play with the best. He is one of them and he clearly can, provided he doesn't let anyone get under his skin. When people tilt him - as they have discovered is very easy to do - he plays horribly. He makes excrutiatingly bad plays and bluffs, horrid calls and raises. So they think, "Oh, I'm playing with Phil. I guess I should help tilt him." And viola! Poker After Dark!
