So my mother called me today and told me I needed to "hit her up with yo x-mas list, bitch!" (She thinks she's hip) Being young and still believing whole-heartidly in Santa, I quickly sat down to put my list together and heres what I got:
1) Uh... shit... 24 season 3?
I've been able to just buy everything I wanted (not much) with my fat online bankroll and now I can't truely exploit xmas for what it's worth!
What am I to do!?

Here's what came to my mind:
A 500 chip high quality wooden case. Not sure what you use for your chips, but a lot nicer to look at then those cheap aluminum cases that most of us probably start out with.
Here's one example I found. (I could care less if you buy this particular case. Just using it for an example cause I have a bookmark to 5star.)

Do not get this game. Every review Ive seen has been horrible. Like 2 or 3 out of 10 everywhere. I worship the movie but the game sucks.

I'm not sure how it stacks up to Card Player....I got an offer through amazon - they noticed that I had purchased several poker books and sent me an advertisment for this "new" magazine. I figured it would be a good x-mas present, if it sucks - I didn't spent any of my money on it
I have not used the cardplayer bonus on Poker Room...got my first issue after I already had an account there - so I can't answer that question either- sorry.

Man that is my new favorite show. I had never watched it before and my brother let me borrow his season 1(of course the mofo left disc 6 in his ps2 and he lives 3 hours away) and I watched the first 12 episodes straight through the first day.

I have a DVR from my cable company (Time Warner) and it's just as good as any Tivo.
But I have to say that once you have it, it's tough to go without. (people that can't fast forward through commercials confuse me)
|
|
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

My first Tivo (about 4 years old) was a 14 hour stand alone unit - It is moded to 60 hours. The other two are DirecTivos and are not moded - I am considering selling 1 of the Directivos and my Samsung HD receiver to buy a moded HD Tivo with 300 hours SD recording capacity (not sure how much HD that gives you)....$1400 is pretty steep for the HD Tivo + mod....may even be more now they are pretty hard to find.
Do you have a moded Tivo?

Nope but I have been thinking about doing one for awhile. I have 2 modded xboxs one with a 250 gig in it and the other a 200 and have done 2 other installs for my friends soldering in their modchips for em and getting the dashboard and all the apps they need. Did you mod your tivo yourself. Is it pretty simple? Do you have to put a chip in or anything is it all software stuff once you put in the bigger drive? I had a guide around here on my comp at one time or another but never checked it because I had other projects going on at the time.
I also have a tivo prog type thing on my computer and have about 800 gigs total storage between all my drives so I guess I really dont need one. It doesn't pick up HD though which I would like to have since I watch all my stuff on a 125" projector screen now and HD signals look lots lots nicer than the basic shit you get from direct tv or whatever.

If you are familiar with changing hard drives in computers (it is clear you are) it is a snap. When I did mine you had to use a program called "bless tivo" - it was a little tricky, but not too hard....much easier on a virgin unactivated Tivo. Anyway, there is no soldering required and the new program supposedly has a GUI now and is easy to use - they actually have slick hard drive mounting kits to make it even easier.

Yep I have seen these on a show called the screen savers on techtv which is now g4techtv. There are 2 dudes that started a tivo/replay tv type thing business where all they do is mod em and sell kits and stuff. They have em with dual 300 gig drives on hdtv models. Man that would be sweet. They are expensive as hell but it would be sweet to have one. Thanks for the info

Give me my thread back!
TiVo sounds nice but I'm down at college a lot and TV isn't really a big part of my day. Would be nice during the breaks though.

K one thing I highly recommend is the shield season 2. I have never seen one and only like half of 3 but season 2 is awesome as hell. Youll like it if you like 24. I also like Oz Season 1 and havent seen the others yet. Lets see another thing that is phat is the nintendo DS handheld that you can play in class. Also let me see let me see - how about a cute little puppy.
