It was 10k for his favorite charity not for himself. Some 2p2'er promised him they would raise 10k for Children's Inc. on 2p2 if he said it. They ended up raising some huge amount... pretty sure it was more than 50k. I bet if you search 2p2 for it you'll find the thread.
