Sorry for the delay, but PlayersOnly has selected a winner in the YouTube video contest and the winner has been contacted. Sorry it wasn't Carl. Once the details of the night-out-with-Carrie-Stoup part of the prize have been worked out there will be a formal announcement from PO.

I want to see the $10k in the person's hands while he's on the date and I want him to be holding up 2 forms of identification at the same time while his grandmother is standing next to him confirming it is in fact, a non-employee of Player Only.
You guys should be ashamed of how you handled this contest. Extremely poor business. The fact that you hold thousands of individuals money on your site is scary due to the fact that it took you nearly a month past the contest end date to pick a winner. I can only hope players do not have to wait this long to receive cash outs, customer service answers, and the like.
I, for one, would like to see a record of the winner's submission date and a written explanation from someone as to why the committee took so long in proclaiming a victor.

What a fucking joke. This " winning" video is not only bad, it's unfunny and tasteless. There is nothing to do with poker, money or being a "player" at all in the whole video, other than the title. Your sleazy ass site wants to use this submission as a winning representation of the contest you ran for 'poker" players. Good luck. I for one will be contacting the Cake Network. I for one will never play on your site. I am also going to base my decision on the whole Cake network after I receive a response.

Initially reading this I had it down as poor sportsmanship from the FTR crowd (sorry guys!  )because an inferior video had won.. Then I looked at the history of the contest, emphasis being on this.
This is completely and utterly unprofessional from Players Only. I also don't think they're aware of just how fucking difficult it is for a talented creative to get a break within the industry and just how huge it is to think that you're about to win a contest.
gamblogger & Players Only: If you weren't 100% that you had a winner then you should've STFU and NOT strongly hinted that Carl had won.
For me, this is not about the possibility of a rigged bs competition, this is about pure professionalism (or lack thereof). Having seen this, I will never put my money anywhere near Players Only Poker because the representative has shown a complete lack of intelligence, foresight and business aptitude. This is the sort of conduct I would expect of a business run by a 15 year old. Why should I trust them with my money?
As FTR, we need to remember just how powerful a force we are within the online poker landscape:-
- We are loyal to the FTR brand
- We are either professional poker players or wannabe professional poker players
- We have the largest MGR of any player type (As a guess I'd say one of us is worth 20 Sunday Million donkament types)
I suggest we give Players Only Poker 72 hours in which to repair the damage it has done however it can, and if they fail to do so we:
- Cut off all affiliate ties with Players Only Poker.
- IP ban gamblogger
- Mass inform Cake of what's happened (including mention how good an MGR we have and that Players Only Poker is a representative of the Cake Network)
- Make sure no-one we know goes near Players Only Poker or Cake Poker.
Also, if you have anything negative to say about Players Only Poker make sure you put their whole name in so maybe we can get this high up in the Google rankings

you guys are all awesome. what a crock to shit i've had to deal with the past 2 months.
doubt there is anything i can do though - so weird to be led on like that. it's so shady with all the things he said to me via private messages on youtube in that regard.. stuff like "well i know who is going win :wink wink:" how unprofessional ... also, the actual winner of the contest wasn't even in the contest when the initial deadline was over... they extended it TWICE.
on top of everything (believe me, there's more) it took them 25 days to pick between THREE videos. yes only me and 2 other people entered this contest for $10k... talk about bad marketing.
when they had ftr post the "press release" that i was likely to win, think about what they did. all they did was use ftr's traffic to attempt to get more people to enter the contest because they were embarrassed they only had 2 entries after 2+ months (there was only 2 videos at this time). they made it seem like i was sooo certain to win that it didn't matter who entered, when in actuality it just hurt my chances of winning. why use ftr for a means to promote this instead of their own?
everything about this pisses me off. shady poker site ran by shady people. it's rigged but man, what can i even do?
