not only am i down 15ish buyins already, today i got a second monitor and decided to try 8 tabling. sweet i was up after the first two sets. awesome. then my fucking internet conn dies and boom then goes another 8 buyins. nhggthx

That sucks, but you shoulda known the answer was to go down in buyin or if nothing else you should have moved to one or two tables not gone to sets of 8.

Sorry to hear what happened, but what made you think that adding more tables was a good thing when you were already in a pretty bad downswing? 
If you are interested, I made a post in the holdem strategies section called 'some issues with multi-tabling' where I cover some problems and issues with 8-9 tabling. Usually I'll 8-table NL ring and have an SnG going in my 9th spot.

edit: also, about playing a bunch of tables, I really wouldn't recommend it until you are really comfortable doing so and you have a great handle on the game. I'd stick with 4ish myself...
